Maestro Eugene Lee is one of the finest conductor in our time,
graduated from Georgia State University’s Graduate School
of Music (Maser of Music, majoring Orchestra Conductor) after completing composition, piano, and conducting in Europe,
including Korea and Russia, and won first place in the MPICW
International Conducting Competition and excellence in chorus
at the 25th Nan-pa Festival in Korea.
He also served as the principal conductor at Morehouse College
and Spelman Women’s College Orchestra in Atlanta for 10 years,
conducting Kiev National Orchestra, Kharikov Phil (Ukrain), Ploisti
Phil (Romania), Zabrze Phil (Poland).
Maestro Lee conducted Verdi’s masterpiece, opera ‘La Traviata’
at the Constantza Opera House în România, since he was invited
to the concert for the 200th anniversary of Verdi’s birth.
He has already been active in Europe, Russia, Israel, Egypt,
Korea, Japan, and the United States under international fame.
He has been the artistic director/standing conductor of the New
Atlanta Philharmonic since 2000, and founded the New Atlanta
Youth Orchestra in 2001 to discover more than 1,000 youth
members. In particular, he coached soprano Lina Jung, who
won the grand prize at the Schmidt Vocal Competition as a high
school student, and the debut stage posted on.
In addition, it has been holding Liberation Day concerts every
year since 2000, marking its 22nd annual concert this year.
Since 1991, he has been the first Korean to hold classical music
exchanges with Japan, held guest concerts in Tokyo, Kyoto,
Osaka, and Kobe, and played as a guest conductor at the JC2000
Festival in Egypt and Israel.
Maestro Lee has conducted many concerts with famous performers, including world-renowned violinist Seo Hye-joo, Helen Kim
(former Atlanta Symphony Orchestra), tuba player Bill Pritchard,
Professor Joanna Kim (piano), and Sinicia Ciric (concert master
of Savannah Philharmonic).
He also led the chamber music by founding the Peach Prime
Orchestra, Eurasian Chamber, and Atlanta Sinfonia.
He has served at all-state audition and various piano competition as a judge for many years, and is active as the conductor,
composer, educator, columnist, and broadcast host.

Discover the Artistry of the New Atlanta Philharmonic

The New Atlanta Philharmonic Orchestra was reorganized in 2000 under Maestro Eugene Lee as a nonprofit organization.
In 2017, it was reformed into New Atlanta Philharmonic Performing Arts Group, which is registered under the state and federal government as a non-profit organization form of 501(c)3. NAP has three organizations: New Atlanta Philharmonic (professional), New Atlanta Youth Orchestra (high school students), and Atlanta Community Choir (including senior members) NAP has been serving regular concerts with master symphonic pieces, and some special concert like Korean Liberation Day and summer classical concerts for 21 years at the Gas South Theater, Rialto Center, and Churches in Gwinnett.
NAP has performed the 250th Anniversary of Mozart’s Death at the Rialto Center, the 911 Memorial Concert for the Victims at Gwinnett Performing Arts Center, and the 100th Anniversary of Korean-American Immigration Concert at Korean Community Presbyterian Church.

For 23 years NAP performed over 150 concerts including youth orchestras, community concerts, family concerts, gospel and pop concerts, and more.
These concerts featured many masterpieces such as Beethoven Symphonies No,1-No.9, Brahms Symphonies No.1-No.4, and Schumann Symphonies No.1-No.4.
